This lodge-style inn was built in 1850 and is found amongst rose-covered cottages. The Brass Lantern Inn is two blocks from Nantucket Harbor and one half-mile from the Children's Beach and Main Street.
Along with the daily complimentary Continental breakfast, wine and cheese parties are held Saturday evenings in the summertime. A garden is featured on the inn’s property. The inn is made of the main building and the Garden wing.

This lodge style inn features three stories and offers 17 guestrooms. All feature private bathrooms with bathrobes. Rooms boast views of Nantucket Harbor, Brant Point, or the inn's gardens. Guestrooms are individually decorated, furnished with antiques and Oriental or rag rugs atop wide pine floors. Air conditioning is provided in all units. TVs are also provided.

- Take Exit 11A/New Hampshire-Maine/I-495 onto I-495 S toward Cape Cod and proceed 58 miles.
- Continue on RT-25 E and proceed 9.5 miles.
- Take Exit 2/Bourne/Sagamore toward US-6 and proceed 0.5 mile.
- Bear right onto Bourne Rotary Circle N.
- Bear right onto US-6 E and proceed 3 miles.
- Take ramp toward US-6/To RT-6A/Hyannis and proceed 0.5 mile.
- Continue to follow Mid-Cape Hwy (US-6) and proceed 13 miles.
- Take ramp onto Iyannough Rd (RT-132) toward Barnstable/Hyannis and proceed 3 miles.
- At traffic circle, take second exit onto Barnstable Rd and go approximately 1 mile.
- Continue on Ocean St.
